Frugal Friday Travel: Postcard Inn

When I think about a trip to the beach, I imagine a sun-bleached little motel on the oceanfront, filled with 1950s era decor. I also imagine myself arriving at said motel in a red 1960s convertible, high waist shorts and a hair scarf. Hollywood has painted quite the picture for me! If you're looking for all that charm and more* with modern conveniences, we are about to blow your mind! The Postcard Inn at St. Pete's Beach is about the most charming place imaginable and you wont have to spend your savings to stay there.

We recommend staying in one of the poolside cabanas. Christina spent a recent vacation here at a mere $125 per night! I'm not sure it gets much better than that. Beautiful beach, cozy and stylish interiors, great pool; this place has everything you need to make your beach vacation a restful retreat from the daily grind.

We would be remiss not to mention Agave, a small Mexican restaurant that has been described as "from heaven", "a gem", "authentic" and "This is so good! Is this really happening to us right now?!" That last one from our very own Christina who had the house salad trio and fresh guacamole and some amazing tacos. The tacos you must try are Laguneros and Puero En Sals, they're seriously good and frugal, too! In fact, with savings like this ($8 for 4 tacos!) you may as well top it off with a margarita or two!

I think we've established this place is fantastic in the daytime. It gets even better after dark. Prepare to be dazzled!
