One of my favorite neighborhoods in Atlanta is Inman Park. It has everything; beautiful shops, easy access to The Beltline, gorgeous homes I dream of someday owning, and incredible FOOD!
As you read this part, you may want to get your keys and your wallet ready, because you are about to want to drive straight to Parish and get your hands on the goodness, too! Here is the menu they enjoyed at the media dinner:
Chef's pickled and preserved goodies: Pickled okra and Peach
Tomato confit "tart": butter wafer, cultured cream, wine vinegar and herb black truffle grilled cheese
Korean-style fried chicken: kimchi glaze, radish and sesame
Poached wild pears: arugula, speck, honey and bottarga
Are you hungry yet?
Corned duck leg, cabbage (Christina says it reminded her of her grandmother's cabbage--nobody says that without meaning "you must eat this, it is amazing".) hazelnuts, potatoes and horseradish
Wild king salmon: charred vegetables, corn milk and tomato hollandaise
Pop tarts: apple, cinnamon and dulce de leche
Ice cream sandwiches: double chocolate cookie and vanilla ice cream.
I don't know about you, but I need to eat all of those things as soon as possible!
We would be remiss to write a post about Parish and not mention the interiors. I'm wild about restaurant interiors!* When done right, you are immediately put in the mood for whatever tasty treat they have to serve.
*Sometimes I am a sucker for a really divey place with no ambiance, but the food had better be outstanding. With a place like Parish, it's a win-win! Beauty and taste!
Rich with colors and ornate fixtures, but nothing too fussy or stuffy, Parish does it right. A perfect balance of bohemian, southern, Parisian, and rustic tones and textures. Wouldn't that put you in the mood for that menu with a glass of champagne and good companionship?

In fact, The Parish Market is just downstairs from the cafe so you can eat a delicious meal, enjoy a few fine cocktails, and head downstairs to pick up a few high quality ingredients to make your own meals as excellent as your meal at Parish, wrapping up your evening with a leisurely stroll through the city.
